THC edibles in Bayport: licensed cannabis and hemp

We carry two kinds of edibles, and they're labeled so you can tell them apart: licensed cannabis edibles and lower-potency hemp-derived edibles.

Cannabis edibles vs. hemp edibles

Licensed cannabis edibles

Made by licensed Minnesota cannabis businesses. Right now these are mostly gummies in 100 mg packages of 10 pieces (10 mg THC each), including distillate and RSO gummies. Brands on the menu when we checked on October 17, 2026: &Shine, Boundary Waters, Incensored, and Vireo. Cannabis edibles menu

Hemp-derived edibles

Lower-potency hemp products, regulated by the Office of Cannabis Management with the same 21+ rule. You'll find gummies, chocolates, caramels, and snack items, often at lower doses per piece, plus THC-free CBD gummies, oils, and softgels. Brands include BLNCD, Crested River, Granny's, Minny Grown, and Philotimo. Hemp edibles menu

Serving sizes and limits

Minnesota edibles top out at 10 mg THC per serving and 200 mg per package, and one purchase can include up to 800 mg of THC across edibles, hemp edibles, and hemp THC drinks combined. Minn. Stat. 342.27

Start low and go slow. If you're new, or it's been a while, half a 10 mg piece or less is a reasonable first serving. Edibles can take 30 minutes to 2 hours to kick in, sometimes longer, so wait at least two hours before you think about more. Our FAQ has more, and a budtender can point you to low-dose options.

Edibles can look like regular snacks. Keep them locked up and out of reach of kids and pets.

How edibles work

Peak

Lasts

Start with
2.5 to 5 mg THC, then wait at least 2 hours

General estimates from Minnesota OCM and Health Canada. Timing varies from person to person.

When people choose it

Edibles are smoke-free, and each piece is measured in milligrams, so a portion is easy to repeat. People who want a smoke-free option with a set portion often choose them. Edibles last much longer than inhaling, so plan for a longer stretch and no driving.

Timing

An edible is digested, so it takes a while. Your liver turns THC into a stronger form called 11-hydroxy-THC, which is part of why edibles can feel stronger and last longer than smoking. Minnesota's Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) puts the onset at 30 minutes to 2 hours, the peak at 3 to 4 hours, and the total at 6 to 12 hours. Health Canada says it can take up to 4 hours to feel the full effects, and some effects can linger up to 24 hours. Food in your stomach, your metabolism, and your experience all change the timing.

Dosing basics

OCM's starting point is 2.5 to 5 mg of THC, or less. Most of our cannabis gummies are 10 mg pieces, so half a piece is 5 mg and a quarter is about 2.5 mg. Hemp edibles are capped at 5 mg THC per serving. Wait at least 2 hours before deciding on more. If you do take more next time, take the same amount or less, not a bigger piece.

How it counts toward Minnesota limits

Cannabis edibles top out at 10 mg THC per serving and 200 mg per package. One purchase can include up to 800 mg of THC across cannabis edibles, hemp edibles, and hemp THC drinks combined, and that's also the most you can carry. Minn. Stat. 342.27, 342.01

Storage

Keep edibles in the original child-resistant package, locked up, and away from regular snacks. They can look like candy, and NIDA calls children eating edibles a growing concern. Store them somewhere cool and dry so gummies don't melt. In the car, they go in the trunk unless the package is still sealed.

Practical tips

  • Cut a gummy with a clean knife to get a smaller piece.
  • Write down the time and the milligrams. A phone timer helps you wait the full 2 hours.
  • Don't take more just because you don't feel it yet. Taking more too soon is how people end up with more than they wanted.
  • Try a new product when you have nowhere to be for the rest of the day.

Safety

Don't drive the rest of the day or night after an edible. Effects can last many hours. Don't mix edibles with alcohol, which raises impairment. Use it only in a private home or on private property where the owner allows it. Not in a vehicle, parked or moving, not in public places, and not in our parking lot.

If someone has used too much, or a child or pet gets into cannabis, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 (for pets, call your vet). In an emergency, call 911.
